We found this place while trying to find another restaurant that we wanted to visit. We quickly checked what kind of food they served and our mouth watered when we read your menu. I love crawfish and was excited to see that in your menu. We ordered the crawfish etouffe and the crawfish boudin balls. We also got the kids tenders, burger and fried shrimp. It was so dam good we had to order the Boudin balls and etouffe to go. The service was great and they took the time explain what was in the food and what they recommend. The atmosphere was nice and even though they lost power for a few minutes the servers kept us entertained until the power returned. This is a gem of a restaurant and I'm glad I now have a real place to eat when I visit Fredericksburg. 1000% recommend this place.
GREAT place to take a break if you are at a tournament at Field of Dreams, plenty of options for everyone. TVs to catch sports, fans and heaters for Texas weather.
Really cool space with great seafood. Being raised in Florida and married Cajun I know a little bit about seafood and crawfish and the stuff was good. I'll definitely be back when I'm passing through.
This was a fun experience. The crawfish is tasty and the drinks stiff. You really cant go wrong if in the mood for something special. Prices are fair and the ambiance settles you in for a good time.

We truly enjoyed our visit to the Boil Shack. Red Beans and Rice were on point, the Boudin Balls were fantastic, the shrimp was very tasty and not over seasoned. The atmosphere was fabulous and those that had crawfish around us, said they were delicious. We were happy to find this Cajun Country hideaway in the Texas Hill Country. We will be back.
This place is awesome on every level. It’s a cool venue with great atmosphere inside and out. Inside has AC and TVs and outside feels like one of those fun crawfish boil parties you get invited to. The menu had quite a few Cajun focused items that are not the same thing on every other local menu like gumbo and sausage you can add to your shrimp boil. Their fried pickles may be some of the best we’ve had and are served with house made (tasting) ranch. Yum! Shrimp and potatoes were cooked perfectly as was everything in the fried combo basket. Nice selection of beers. Limited wine choices and no hard liquor. Staff was friendly and service was quick with a medium sized crowd. So happy to find this cool spot just as the weather is turning cooler and football season is rolling. We’ll be here a lot!
Great food! Great service and plenty of room for kids to run and play. Good amount of parking and it’s dog friendly. Drinks were good and they have Raw oysters which is a huge plus.
